I often get requests from clients for indie dance music which are, sad to say, hit or miss on the dance floor. The typical crowd likes to hear music they’re familiar with and if they don’t know it, you lose em. However… if you DO have some mustaches and bow ties in your crowd, nothing will please them more than getting some indie jams to “dance themselves clean”.
With this mixing sample I try to walk the line with some more mainstream indie hits. (9 songs in 8:39)
Not something you’d find on a dance floor. Just a fun extended mix I made of some rock and hip hop classics laced up. Enjoy!Old School Rock Hip Hop Mix
The Swon Song
Every week holds the potential for our greatest feats; these are just some of the songs I’m humming along the way.
The New Basement Tapes are a supergroup formed by legendary producer T-Bone Burnett. Writing and performing music to recently uncovered, handwritten Bob Dylan lyrics, Elvis Costello, Marcus Mumford, Rhiannon Giddens, Jim James, and Taylor Goldsmith seamlessly breathe life into the lost words of one of the greatest lyricists of all time. This is a taste of the album, but it’s a perfect vinyl to add to any collection. The Basement Tapes- Kansas City
