Weekend Wedding Mixes
This past weekend was filled with ambitious brides, grooms, and bridal parties who wanted a spectacle to share with their guests on their special days. This track includes a mix I created for Jenn and Phil’s Bridal Party Grand Entrance and is followed by Oren and Esther’s First Dance mix. For the Grand Entrance they wanted to have a dance battle between the bridesmaids’ “Crazy in Love” and the groomsmen’s “Let’s Get Married”. The dance went over really well and paved the way for the Bride and Groom’s entrance to “Now That We’ve Found Love”. The second three song mix was for Esther and Oren’s choreographed first dance that began with a tango and finished with two fun upbeat songs that complemented their eclectic international tastes.

I always thoroughly enjoyed the Beastie’s song, however I felt the simplicity of the drum/vocal combo need some extra punch to bring it to a dance floor. After rearranging the puzzle of this mix, I’m happy to post this mashup that made it’s debut at my recent house party.

The Swon Song
Every week holds the potential for our greatest feats; these are just some of the songs I’m humming along the way.
One of my all-time favorite artists. Sam Cooke is not only writer and performer of this single off his album of the same name, but also only took three takes to record it! ”(Ain’t That) Good News” is one of the many gems in the artists’ arsenal that deserve the label “oldie, but a goodie”.
