Mad Max – Coming Soon!

Chappie (coming March 5th)

Neill Blomkamp, director of “District 9″ has thrown his hat into the ring again with a new film centered around an A.I. Robot. I’m not sure what more I could ask for! This movie is exploding with interesting, borderline bizarre choices: the mean streets of South African, a robot named Chappie, the husband and wife art rock duo Die Antword starring in central roles, and Hugh Jackman as the nay-saying-super-suspicious-robot-cop who may just have a heart of gold. And despite the inherent weirdness, the trailer leaves me excited for the future! Dreaming of a day, in the not so distant future, when I might call Chappie a friend… and borrow gold chain necklaces from him.

20,000 Days On Earth

Rock & roll icon Nick Cave stars in this strangely quiet and mysterious meditation on… something. I can’t tell if it’s about him or about music. If its scripted or documentary. If its supposed to be reality or some alternate universe. I’m not quite sure whats going on… but I kinda like it. It’s pretty much how I feel about Nick Cave most of the time.

Made In America (2014)

Director Ron Howard chronicles the “Made In America” music festival created by rap icon Jay-Z. Some claimed this annual Philly-based concert was simply a business move for Jay, but from the looks of this gorgeously shot Documentary there’s a lot of love going into this epic festival.
